England have been knocked out of the Blind Cricket T20 World Cup after losing by 147 runs against Pakistan in the semi-final earlier today.
Pakistan batted first and set England a huge target of 309-1 with Israr Hassan scoring 143 from 69 balls.
The Three Lions struggled with the chase as they finished on 162-7.,
England won the toss and elected to field first but spent most of the innings chasing the ball as Pakistan’s openers Hassan and Badar Munir both went on to score centuries before Munir retired.
England captain Luke Sugg managed to take a wicket after dismissing Amir Ishfaq who scored a rapid 26 from seven balls.
Hassan and Mati Ullah rounded off the innings to set England a huge target.
The Three Lions struggled with the run chase, however Matt Page and Luke Sugg led the fightback with Page scoring 41 and Sugg finishing on an unbeaten 34.
Peter Blueitt who has been England’s outstanding batsman in the tournament was unable to add to his seven half-centuries he scored in the group stage.
Pakistan will now play hosts India in the final.
